Lourdes Cordero

Senior Vice President

Lourdes Cordero has served as senior vice president at FOCUS Search Partners since 2008.

Prior to joining FOCUS Search Partners, Lourdes completed healthcare executive searches with her own consulting firm and for the office of Witt/Kieffer in Dallas. Her client base is corporate entities, investor-owned acute and specialty hospitals and non-profit and faith-based acute hospitals with projects requiring a focus on diversity placement.

She has more than two decades of experience within the healthcare industry, most recently as a corporate leader within Tenet Healthcare Corporation, a $13.5 billion Dallas-based hospital system operating 121 hospitals in 16 states. Lourdes oversaw development of several key programs at Tenet, including a fair treatment process and binding arbitration for all employment related conflicts and acquisition and divestiture processes.

She also was vice president of human resources at Tenet during the formation of the chain’s Florida region, which required recruiting key executives to its regional office and 13 hospitals. When Tenet acquired the Allegheny Hospitals in Philadelphia, Lourdes directly supervised the human resources reorganization and employment strategy.

Prior to her tenure with Tenet, Lourdes was with First City Bancorporation of Texas where she rose to the position of senior vice president and chief human resources officer for the North Texas region.
