Operating Executive & Advisory Roles

• Arlen served, 2006 - 2008, as the COO and Interim President and CEO, Centura Health System, Denver, CO. Centura is a 12-hospital system with state-wide home health and hospice and state-wide long-term care. Centura Health has annual net revenues of $1.7 billion. During this time Arlen served as the Chairman of the Board for Porter Adventist Hospital, Denver, CO.
• Arlen is a consultant to McKinsey & Co. in their Washington, DC office.

Entrepreneur

• In 1995 Arlen founded the institutional pharmacy company TeamCare, a wholly owned sub of Grancare, created the 3 largest institutional pharmacy company in USA with operations in 27 states and did a reverse merger with Manor Care (Vitalink) and created the 2nd largest inst. pharmacy company in the USA with ops in 32 states. The business was listed on the NYSE on 2/7/97, at which time Arlen retired from the company.

Board of Directors and Private Investor

• In 2008 Arlen was asked to join the GE Healthcare Regional Board for the Western USA.
• He has served for 6 years on the Board of Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL and served for 2 years as Chairman of the Board.
• Arlen is a Founding Board member of HealthMont, a rural hospital company, which later merged into publicly-traded Sunlink.
• He is presently Chairman of the Board of Aquamatrix, the manufacturer of Hydrogel, NYY.
• He is a former Chairman of the Board of Greystone Pharmaceuticals.
• He has served as an advisor to the Sovereign Fund.
• Arlen is former Board member of the national Susan G. Komen Foundation, Dallas, TX.
• Arlen serves on the Board of the Hawthorn Group in Washington DC, a public affairs company.
